Warranty conditions

At Loire Design, we strive for the highest quality and craftsmanship in our custom-made furniture. We apply the Belgian statutory warranty terms, so you can order from us with confidence.

1. Legal Warranty

Every custom-made piece of furniture is covered by a two-year statutory warranty. This means that if a product exhibits a manufacturing defect or fault not attributable to normal use, we will repair, replace, or provide a suitable solution free of charge.

2. Exception to the Right of Withdrawal

Since custom-made products are manufactured entirely to your specifications, the order is not covered by the right of withdrawal (Article VI.53, 3° of the Code of Economic Law). This means that returns or cancellations after production are not possible.

3. What is covered by the warranty?

✔ Manufacturing errors or defects upon delivery
✔ Construction problems that occur within the warranty period
✔ Problems with materials or workmanship that are not attributable to misuse

4. What is not covered by the warranty?

✘ Normal wear and tear or damage due to misuse
✘ Damage due to exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures or direct sunlight
✘ Discolorations and natural variations in wood or other materials

5. How to submit a warranty claim?

If you experience a problem, please contact us at loiredesign@hotmail.com with a clear description of the problem and photos of the furniture. We will resolve it as quickly as possible.

Delivery and custom delivery

Standard Delivery : Our standard delivery includes transport to the front door of the specified delivery address. Delivery will take place within the agreed timeframe and will be communicated to you in advance.

Personal Delivery by Appointment : For exclusive and custom-made orders, we can arrange a personal delivery by appointment in consultation, so that your furniture is delivered at exactly the right time and according to your wishes.

As soon as your custom-made furniture arrives at our warehouse, we will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment at a time that suits you best.

Right of withdrawal and return

Standard products

  • Customers have the right to return a standard product within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason (Art. VI.47 WER).
  • The product must be returned undamaged, unused, and in its original packaging . If the product is damaged or incomplete, we reserve the right to deduct a depreciation.
  • Return costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product was delivered defective.

Custom products

  • Since custom-made products are manufactured specifically according to the customer's specifications, there is no right of withdrawal (Art. VI.53, 3° WER).
  • Cancellation of a custom order is only possible before production begins, and no later than 24 hours after placing the order.

Costs and risks of returns

The costs and risk of returns are entirely borne by the
counterparty, also in the case of return based on revocation (see article 6).
In the case of a valid return, we are only obligated to issue a credit or exchange once the returned product has been received and inspected.
